Our programmes
Learning at Thompson International School is divided into four stages, from the preparatory class to graduation. At each stage, children gain age-appropriate knowledge and skills and are prepared step by step for the next one.
- Preparatory class (Grade 0)0 grade
From age 6, we prepare children for school: developing speech, attention, memory and fine motor skills, and introducing letters, numbers and counting. English and Speaking start as early as Grade 0.
Outcome: The child knows letters and sounds, counts to 10, understands simple English phrases and is ready for Grade 1.
- Primary school, grades 1–41-4 grade
We build a strong foundation: reading, writing and mathematics. Maths, English and IT are taught in depth, with a focus on speaking skills. In Grade 4, students complete their first projects and solve advanced problems.
Outcome: The child reads and writes confidently, calculates with ease, holds a conversation in English, has basic IT skills and is ready for middle school.
- Middle school, grades 5–75-7 grade
In-depth study of maths, English and IT. Students learn 3D modelling and printing, take lessons in the VR zone and complete projects and research tasks.
Outcome: The student solves advanced problems, works confidently with texts and information, creates 3D models and uses digital tools with ease.
- Senior school, grades 8–118-11 grade
Specialised learning: advanced maths, academic English and IT. From Grade 8, preparation for IELTS and SAT, project work, critical thinking and presentation skills. Together with mentors, students choose a university, prepare according to its requirements, build a portfolio and submit their applications.
Outcome: The graduate has a command of academic English, is prepared for international exams and is ready to enter the world’s leading universities.
