Preparatory class (Grade 0)
From age 6, we prepare children for school: developing speech, attention, memory and fine motor skills, and introducing letters, numbers and counting. English and Speaking start as early as Grade 0.
Outcome: The child knows letters and sounds, counts to 10, understands simple English phrases and is ready for Grade 1.

How the day works
Short lessons alternate with movement and play. The form tutor meets the group in the morning and records attendance in the Thompson School App; then breakfast, lessons, outdoor time and afternoon clubs.
What a child learns
Speech and attention, first reading and counting, everyday independence, English in a natural setting, and how to work in a group.
What parents see
Attendance, timetable and the teacher’s feedback in the Thompson School App, every day.
